Have you suddenly felt completely refreshed after a waterfall swim? And an ice cold shower?
Cold water in contact with our skin purifies the blood and activates the glandular system, spreading a jet of energy throughout the body. Intuitively we know that cold water brings health and vitality and in tropical regions it is almost impossible not to take a refreshing cold bath in the summer.
More than 70% of our body consists of water and this vital element can bring cure and benefits in countless ways, either by drinking it or bathing in it. Try taking cold showers when you wake up. It is amazing how much vigor this simple practice brings. There is a millennial hydrotherapy technique called Ishnaam-through which the body generates the ideal temperature for dissolving the low temperature of the water, this way strengthening the internal organs and bringing health into the blood, skin, nervous and glandular systems.
When you take a cold bath, the blood goes to your hands and feet in order to counter the thermal impact and the blood capillaries open up eliminating toxins. When we warm up and dry up our body, the blood returns, strengthening the organs (heart, lungs, kidneys, liver), stimulating the healthy secretion of the glands, regarded as guardians of health and youth. Moreover, cold water invigorates the cells and keeps the skin radiant.
If you want to try out hydrotherapy, begin by soaking your feet, hands and arms first. Then, let cold water fall, stimulating and massaging every part of the body until they warm up under the icy water. The thighs and genitals should not receive the shower directly. If you want you can also massage your body with some almond oil before entering the cold bath.
This should not be done during pregnancy or the menstrual period. People with high blood pressure, heart diseases, rheumatism or a fever should be more careful. Having taken these precautions, you can have cold water therapy every day. It's simple, pleasant and extremely healthy.
Try it out!
